The area and the Camino
Hotel Casa Rosalía lies on the Ría Muros-Noia Camino (part of the Via Querinissima and the Volta da Gloria, together with the Fisterra Camino), and close to the Portuguese Camino de Santiago.
This route is part of the Via Querinissima, a cultural and maritime route linking Norway, the Orkney Islands, England, France, Spain and Portugal, following the journey made in the 15th century by the Venetian navigator Pietro Querini (1431-1433). The Council of Europe recently (May 2026) declared the Via Querinissima a European Cultural Route. Its link with Galicia is that, after landing on the Galician coast, Querini made the pilgrimage from Muros to the Apostle's tomb in Compostela.
The Xacobeo 2027 Holy Year officially begins on 31 December 2026 with the traditional opening of the Holy Door of Santiago Cathedral and runs throughout 2027. xunta.gal/identidade-corporativa/xacobeo-2027
